1. Who is Azimuth Interactive, Inc.[top of page]
Azimuth Interactive is the developer of one of the leading interactive software training products for colleges and universities in North America. We create interactive software training for top college publishers, who sell our products under their own labels.

This year, for the first time, Azimuth is able to offer its products to the general public. Our company does not have a national sales force or a large advertising budget. Instead we are using the power of the Web to reach out, and ask us to help you. And, if you help us and we succeed, we want to pay you for your help through our Referral Program.

2. What are our products?[top of page]
The Azimuth Inter@ctiveLearning Series is a software training library for Microsoft Office 97. For the Referral program, we have created a Value Package composed of an interactive software training CD-ROM plus a companion book for each Microsoft Office 97 tool: Word 97, Excel 97, Access 97, PowerPoint 97, Windows 95 and Windows 98. Each package has over 8 hours of interactive software training on CD-ROM plus a 144 page step-by-step companion book, covering over 300 skills. The Series teaches both software skills and business skills. The emphasis is on learning skills that pay off in the job market.

The Inter@ctiveLearning Series is perfect for anyone who wants to learn more software and business skills! Its highly interactive format makes learning software and business skills a lot of fun. Best of all, the InteractiveLearning Series also comes with a coordinated book. Many users move back and forth from the book to the CD depending on circumstances. The CD is an exceptionally powerful learning tool that's fast, convenient and fun. The book makes a wonderful quick reference manual.

3. Who might find our products useful?[top of page]
There are at least 10 million people in the US who want or need to improve their software skills every year. More important, a lot of people close to you might find our products useful, such as:

  Friends
  Siblings
  Parents
  Grandparents
  High School students
  College students
  Employees (employers)

There is no better gift than the gift of knowledge and skills. Just think of all the people you personally know who would benefit

20. How can I fix the Excel 2000 sound errors? [top of page]

21. How do I install the LAN versions of the Inter@ctiveLearning Series? [top of page]

1) Create a directory for the files on the server. (ex: ILS_WORD2000)

2) Each training product, must be kept in a separate directory.
3) Copy the contents of the CD into this directory.
4) On each client machine, run the setup program, found in the WIN95 sub directory of multimedia content. (SETUP.EXE) This file must be run from the server, not the CD, as it uses it's location to create links. ( all this does in install two fonts needed by the system)
5) Users start the training by double clicking on the "xxxTOC.EXE" file to start. ("xxx" indicates the product selected.) The Table of Contents file (TOC) will be the only application in the main directory of the product.
6) Users may create a shortcut to this file on the users desktop.

Note: We are currently developing a "LAN navigation tool" which will enable users to select the desired training from those products currently installed. We will send this to you when it is available.

It is possible to run this product from a shared CD-ROM, however, the product will run much slower if more than just a few users are accessing it (this has to do with the increased seek time of CD-ROM drives). For this reason, it is not recommended to install the product in this manor.

InteractiveLearning Series: Network Requirements
Presentational sessions in the InteractiveLearning Series (digital simulations and audio) average about 17-20kps/user. Interactive sessions are far less. SmartQuiz and other exam sessions are nearly zero.
The InteractiveLearning Series network edition should not be played directly from a CD-ROM over a network because multiple users requesting different sessions quickly overwhelm a CD. Therefore, network installations should always be installed on a network hard disk drive. Only the Professional and Enterprise Editions can be installed on a network
Small Business Editions will not play on a network and require a CD-ROM inserted in the CD-ROM drive of each workstation.

If you are interested in obtaining an Intranet Edition, please contact us.

22. Is your software 32 Bit compatible? [top of page]
The Inter@ctiveLearning Series software is a true 32-bit compatible application.

23. Does your software work on Windows NT? [top of page]
The Inter@ctiveLearning Series runs on Windows NT.

24. Portions of the training window are cut off on my screen.[top of page]
If you can not see the entire training interface or if the bottom of the interface is cut off, try changing the font size to Normal or 100% in the Display Properties dialog box.

25. What are the techincal requirements for the online training? [top of page]
A 56kpbs or greater internet connection is suggested. To experience the full featured interactive training, a sound card is required. All computers that were sold since 1995 can run the online training. Depending on the age of your computer your web browswer may or may not have the most recent set of modern Plug-Ins. We recommend upgrading to atleast Netscape 3.0 or Explorer 3.0 and install the most recent version of the Authorware Media Player. Click here to get the plug in.

The Web Player is available via our site or the Macromedia site. Click here to get the plug in.

28. Can I get textbooks that correspond to the online training? [top of page]
Of course. Our products are designed for higher education and have to meet a very demanding set of criteria. Course textbooks are a necessity, even with all of this technology. While you can learn a lot from just the online training course, you can learn even more by adding the textbook. View our product library to take advantage of this feature. Click here.

This is usually caused if you do not have 'Cookies' enabled on your computer.

If you are using Netscape, Edit>Preferences>Advanced select "Accept all cookies".

If you are using Explorer, Tools>Internet Options>Security Tab>Select Internet>Click on Custom Level>Scroll down to Cookies.

30. I am having trouble with the Media Player? [top of page]

The Media Player download doesn't work.
If you are unable to download the Web Player from our site, try downloading the player from the Macromedia Web site if you have difficulties. You must select "Authorware Web Player - Full".
My computer is not recognizing the plug in
When you install the Media Player, it asks for a target browser to attach to. You must use the browser you selected to view the online multimedia content.
AOL Users :
The web player may not work with the built in browswer of AOL. To access online content, minimize your AOL browser and open either Explorer or Netscape and revisit this page.
